BC Wildfire Service imposes fire ban on Category 2 and 3 open fires in Cariboo Fire Centre region due to dry conditions.
The BC Wildfire Service is imposing a fire ban on Category 2 and 3 open fires across the entire Cariboo Fire Centre region, effective March 28 at noon, due to unseasonably dry fall and winter conditions leading to high drought levels. The ban includes the Cariboo Chilcotin Forest District, 100 Mile House Forest District, and the Quesnel Forest District. The ban remains in place until November 1, or until rescinded earlier.
