The US Department of Energy has granted $750 million for 52 projects in 24 states to build capacity for clean hydrogen production. The funding, allocated from the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, aims to advance electrolysis technology and enhance manufacturing and recycling capabilities for clean hydrogen systems and components. These projects are expected to support over 1,500 new jobs and assist in reaching the US Department of Energy's Hydrogen Shot goal of reducing the cost of clean hydrogen production to $1 per kilogram.
