Thailand's Shera, a leading fiber cement board manufacturer, plans to invest PHP 2 billion ($39.7 million) in building a 5-acre manufacturing plant in Mabalacat, Pampanga, the Philippines. The plant, set to be completed by the end of the year, will have an initial capacity of 200,000 metric tons of fiber cement board annually, with an expected 10-15% sales growth this year. The company aims to capitalize on the Philippines' growing construction industry and plans to hire 120-150 employees, with over 90% being local hires.
