Supreme Court questions Ajit Pawar faction's use of Sharad Pawar's name, image for campaigning after NCP split.
The Supreme Court pulled up the Ajit Pawar faction of the National Congress Party (NCP) for allegedly using NCP founder, Sharad Pawar's name and pictures for campaigning purposes. The court directed the Ajit Pawar faction to file a response by March 16, questioning the rationale behind the continued use of Sharad Pawar's image despite their split, and asked them to explore the option of selecting their own symbol. The court is scheduled to hear the case further on March 19.
