Stolen car flees police, crashes into gas pump, catches fire in Florence; brief evacuation issued. Police pursued the vehicle after a report of a stolen car on Barley Street. After a short chase, the car crashed into a gas pump at the corner of Franklin and Evans streets, causing a fire and prompting a brief evacuation. The Florence Fire Department extinguished the fire, and the suspect was unharmed and taken into custody.
