President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Dennis Otuaro as the new Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), replacing Maj. Gen. Barry Ndiomu. Otuaro, with a background in comparative politics and development studies, is expected to revamp the amnesty programme and advance its founding purpose and vision. The programme provides amnesty, stipend payments, professional training, and job placements for over 30,000 former militants in the Niger Delta.
