NZ Agriculture Minister announces $20M joint partnership to combat Facial Eczema in pastoral animals.
New Zealand's Agriculture Minister, Todd McClay, announced a $20M joint partnership between the government, Beef+Lamb NZ, and the primary sector to tackle Facial Eczema (FE) in pastoral animals. The disease costs farmers around $332M yearly through reduced productivity and increased costs. The funding will support research to identify FE earlier, develop management tools, and reduce reliance on zinc dosing.
