Norwegian hydrogen fuel cell maker Nel ASA receives $75m in US DOE and Michigan state funds for its electrolyzer production facility in Michigan, creating 500 jobs.

Norwegian hydrogen fuel cell maker Nel ASA has received $75m in US Department of Energy (DOE) and Michigan state funds for its electrolyzer production facility in Michigan. The plant will create 500 jobs in Plymouth and produce next-generation electrolyzer technologies for hydrogen production. The DOE granted Nel $50m in direct investment support for the planned U.S. gigafactory, while Michigan awarded an additional $25m.
