Nigerian Senator Ali Ndume requests withdrawal of police orderlies from politicians and lawmakers to address insufficient police force.

Senator Ali Ndume of Nigeria has requested the Inspector General of Police to withdraw police orderlies from lawmakers in the National Assembly and politicians across the country. Ndume, who is the Senate Chief Whip, made this statement during an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today on Wednesday. He believes that Nigeria does not have enough police officers, with about 300,000 in the country, and that orderlies should be withdrawn from VIPs to protect the people.
