NIA detains Ballari suspect Syed Shabbir in Bengaluru cafe blast case.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has detained a person from Ballari, Karnataka in connection with the Bengaluru cafe blast case. The suspect, identified as Syed Shabbir, is alleged to have interacted with the main suspect in Ballari the same night, around eight hours after the blast. The NIA and the Bengaluru police have narrowed down the identity of the suspect to an individual from the Shivamogga module of an Islamic State group. The investigation is ongoing.
