NASA progresses in restoring communication with Voyager 1 by analyzing its FDS memory readout.

NASA is making progress in restoring communication with Voyager 1, the pioneering spacecraft that entered interstellar space in 2012. After three months of unintelligible transmissions, a command prompted a new signal on March 3, which was later identified as a full readout of Voyager 1's Flight Data System (FDS) memory. By analyzing this memory readout, scientists hope to identify the issue and restore communication with the historic spacecraft.
