Michigan has hired Tony Alford, the former Ohio State running backs coach and run-game coordinator, away from its rival school. This bold move by new Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore adds one of Ryan Day's top assistants from the Buckeyes to his first staff after Jim Harbaugh's return to the NFL. Alford replaces Mike Hart, who had been running backs coach under Harbaugh for three seasons.
