A 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit Montenegro's border with Bosnia-Herzegovina, causing cracks in some houses, landslides that blocked roads, and was felt as far as Serbia's capital, Belgrade. The quake did not result in any reported casualties, and 30 smaller aftershocks followed the main shock. Authorities in Montenegro and southeastern Bosnian town of Bileca assessed possible damage while closing schools as a precaution. In 2020, a 6.4 magnitude earthquake in central Croatia resulted in several fatalities and injuries.
