Labour reinstated the whip to Middlesbrough MP Andy McDonald after a five-month investigation found he did not engage in conduct against the party's rulebook. McDonald was suspended in October last year for using the phrase "between the river and sea" at a pro-Palestine rally, which was deemed "deeply offensive" by the party. The MP had sat as an independent MP during the investigation.
