From May 1, 2024, Kotoka International Airport (KIA) in Accra will impose a $20 fee on all round-trip tickets to cover baggage belt repairs and other maintenance costs. The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) announced the new fee, which will be divided into $10 per leg of the trip. The decision follows discussions with airport executives and the Ministry of Transport.
