Gujarat school principal removed for requiring Muslim girls to remove hijabs before exam.

Parents of Muslim girl students in a Gujarat school accused the exam centre administrator of forcing their daughters to remove their hijabs before a Class X exam. The administrator, who is also the school's principal, was removed from her position by the local education department following the parents' complaints. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board confirmed that there are no specific rules requiring students to remove their hijabs during exams.
