Gig Buddies Auckland, a new initiative by Spectrum Care and Spectrum Foundation, matches disabled individuals with volunteers sharing similar interests to combat social isolation. With a strong focus on accessibility, their first 'Gig in the Park' event, co-hosted with Auckland Council's Music in Parks, was successful. A second 'Gig in the Park' event in Victoria Park on March 30 is free and open to all, including those with physical and/or sensory needs.
