ETH Zurich researchers have trained the quadrupedal robot, ANYmal, to perform parkour, a sport based on navigating urban obstacles. ANYmal already excelled at navigating Swiss hiking trails and is now proficient at dealing with complex terrain found on building sites and disaster areas. The robot's parkour skills were developed through the collaboration of two research teams led by ETH Professor Marco Hutter.
