Estranged wife of Gilgo Beach suspect Rex Heuermann, Asa Ellerup, believes her husband is "not capable of the crimes he is accused of" and has given him "the benefit of the doubt," according to her attorney. Heuermann, a former New York architect, is charged with the murders of four women whose remains were found near Gilgo Beach in December 2010. Ellerup has filed for divorce but still visits him weekly.
