Dutch far-right leader Geert Wilders has abandoned his bid to become prime minister in order to advance coalition talks for a right-wing cabinet. Wilders' far-right Freedom Party, the largest party, is now in talks to form an "extra-parliamentary cabinet," which could include cabinet members who are not members of a political party and operates on a less-binding coalition agreement. Despite not ascending to the premiership, Wilders remains influential in the next administration.
