The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), a leading trade group, plans to support the US Biosecure Act that aims to sever ties with some Chinese health care companies, including WuXi AppTec. BIO is also taking steps to separate from WuXi AppTec regarding membership. The bill bars federally funded institutions from contracting with "foreign adversary" biotech companies "of concern."
