23-year-old Waterbury woman Jermiyiah Pegues dies in car crash with 3-year-old children on Jersey Street; both children treated for minor injuries.
23-year-old Waterbury woman, Jermiyiah Pegues, died in a car crash after hitting a tree with her two 3-year-old children in the car. The accident occurred on Jersey Street at 8:34 am on Tuesday morning. Both children were taken to the hospital with minor injuries and later released. The crash is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Crash Reconstruction Unit.
