6-year-old boy hit by car in Center Point, hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reports a vehicle was backing out of a driveway when it struck the child. The child was taken to Children's of Alabama with life-threatening injuries. The Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating, but no signs of criminal activity are found.
