UEFA will computerize the Champions League draw from the 2024/25 season due to the competition's new format, involving 36 teams, a single league table, and each club playing eight games. The computerized system will determine opponents, home and away fixtures, and will have a minimal manual aspect for selecting the team whose fixtures are to be determined. Divisions will be based on UEFA's five-year performance coefficient. This change aims to simplify a process that previously involved 900 balls and took up to four hours.
