Saudi Arabian football team Al Hilal has set a world record for consecutive wins with a 2-0 victory over fellow Saudi side Al Ittihad, reaching the Asian Champions League semi-finals. The win marks their 28th consecutive victory, surpassing the previous record of 27 straight wins held by Welsh team The New Saints from the 2016-17 season. Al Hilal now progresses to the Asian Champions League semi-finals against Al Ain from the UAE.
