Residents near Chiquita Canyon Landfill can now apply for relocation assistance and other relief via a new website launched by the landfill operators, following a request from Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger. The landfill's operators were denied a request to expand earlier in March, marking another setback for the facility, which has been producing toxic chemicals and polluting the air, water, and land on site and in neighboring communities.
