Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari has decided to forgo his salary in response to the country's economic crisis. In a statement, the President's Secretariat said Zardari's decision aimed to encourage prudent financial management and not burden the national exchequer. Zardari, who is one of the richest politicians in Pakistan, took the oath as the 14th President of Pakistan on Sunday.
