The Nigerian presidency has begun training 500 inmates in each correctional center across the country as part of a plan to reduce poverty and unemployment. Inmates will receive vocational training in sectors such as fashion, IT, soap-making, and fishing, and will be granted N500,000 ($1,130) upon completion to start a business.
