Los Angeles Chargers release wide receiver Mike Williams, saving $20m cap space, for upcoming free agency.

The Los Angeles Chargers have released wide receiver Mike Williams, who will enter free agency after seven seasons and will save the team $20 million against the cap. Williams, a 2017 top-10 pick, has 309 receptions, 4,806 yards, and 31 touchdowns over 88 games but has struggled with injuries, including an ACL tear last year. The move frees up cap space for the team to manage and invest in other key players.
