Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra's retirement is extended by six months until October 31.

The Indian government has granted a six-month extension to Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra, who was due to retire on April 30, according to an official order. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the extension, which will see Kwatra continue in his role until October 31. Kwatra, an Indian Foreign Service officer of the 1988 batch, has been in the post since May 1, 2022.
