GE Aerospace plans to invest over $650 million in its manufacturing plants and supply chain in 2024 to meet demand from commercial and defense clients. The company will invest nearly $450 million in 22 GE Aerospace facilities across the US and $100 million in international sites, with an additional $100 million investment in U.S.-based suppliers. These investments aim to enhance production capacity for LEAP engine production, prepare for the production of GE9X, and support the U.S. military and its allies around the world.
