Boeing's aircraft deliveries trailed behind rival Airbus in February, with Boeing delivering 27 aircraft compared to Airbus's 49 deliveries. The fallout from January's 737 Max accident has negatively impacted Boeing's production, resulting in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) placing a cap on production of the 737 Max until it is confident in Boeing's assurances. This has caused Southwest Airlines to reduce its 2024 capacity plans due to lower Boeing deliveries.
