3D printing construction startup Icon unveils new technologies at SXSW, including a multi-story robotic construction system and an AI-powered design system. The company also presented a new low-carbon building material for 3D printing and a digital catalog for residential 3D printed architecture containing over 60 designs. Icon's new multi-story printer, called Phoenix, is capable of constructing entire buildings, including foundations and roofs, faster, cheaper, and simpler than traditional construction methods.
