In Cork, Ireland, a snake was spotted near the tracks at Kent Station, surprising railway staff. Colm, an Irish Rail worker, reported the encounter on Cork's 96FM opinion line, stating that his colleague Siobhán first noticed the serpent. Colm attempted to relocate the reportedly three-foot long reptile to Fota Wildlife Park but found it gone upon his return. Staff were unsure if the snake was dangerous or a corn snake.
