62-year-old Michael Townley from DeRidder died in a crash on Hwy 3226 in Vernon Parish on March 11, after his truck failed to yield to a westbound loaded log truck. The log truck driver, also wearing a seatbelt, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy 3226 and BC Doyle Road.
