20-year-old Italian tennis player Luca Nardi, ranked 123 in the world, upset top-ranked Novak Djokovic with a surprising 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 victory in the third round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells. Nardi, who entered the main draw as a "lucky loser," ended Djokovic's 11-match winning streak at ATP Masters 1000s and ended his first loss to a player outside the Top 50 of the ATP rankings since 2018. Nardi will move on to face American Tommy Paul in the Round of 16.
