37-year-old Lemont Antwaun Darby of Orangeburg was sentenced to over three years in federal prison for conspiring to receive marijuana through the U.S. mail. Darby used an address on the postal route of Mjaan Roland, a city carrier with the Columbia Main Post Office and Dutch Fork Station, to facilitate marijuana deliveries. In exchange for his assistance, Roland was compensated with payments between $100 and $200 and sometimes small amounts of drugs. Darby's two state drug charges are still pending.
