Two New Zealanders, including a 21-year-old woman, have been killed by an avalanche while backcountry skiing in Hokkaido, Japan. A third New Zealander was injured in the incident. Japanese police confirmed to the New Zealand Embassy that two New Zealanders died in an avalanche in Mt Yotei, Japan, on Monday. The family of Isabella Bolton, one of the victims, said she was "full of vitality and passion for life".
