Wisconsin DMV reminds voters to obtain free, valid ID for voting purposes ahead of the Spring Election & Presidential Preference Vote on Apr 2. IDs include driver licenses, ID cards, military or student IDs, and a federally compliant REAL ID isn't required for voting. To register to vote, first-time voters & new residents can choose mail, online, or in-person methods by Mar 13, register at early voting sites Mar 19-29, or on Election Day, Apr 2. A proof of residence document is needed when registering.
