Āwhitu Peninsula beach access track restored by Mitre 10 MEGA Takanini's Helping Hands program, damaged by floods, now provides safe access for outdoor activities.

Mitre 10 MEGA Takanini's Helping Hands program restored a dangerous beach access track on South Auckland's Āwhitu Peninsula, damaged by floods. The new track, built with donated materials, now allows young people from Blue Light and community members to safely access the beach for outdoor adventure activities. The track will be officially blessed by local iwi on 23 March, with representatives from the local board and schools attending.
