South Korea's jobless claims fell by 13.3% in February due to lower demand in sectors such as wholesale and retail, manufacturing, and education services, as per the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The number of new applicants for job-seeking benefits dropped to 93,200, while the number of people receiving unemployment benefits increased by 1.1% to 625,500. The State Employment Insurance Fund provides unemployment benefits to help the unemployed find work and cover most of the unemployment costs.
