Scholastic Corp., the world's largest children's book publisher, has agreed to acquire 9 Story Media Group for $185 million. This acquisition will allow Scholastic to create more TV content based on its books, and vice versa, to engage children with characters through screens and lead them to reading. The combined content will expand Scholastic's opportunities to leverage its brand, publishing, and franchises across print, screens, and merchandising.
