A recall petition has opened against Blackpool South MP Scott Benton, who was filmed offering to lobby ministers and table parliamentary questions on behalf of gambling investors. Benton, now an independent MP, was suspended from the House of Commons for 35 days for breaching Commons rules. The petition, delivered to registered electors in the Blackpool South constituency, will be open for signing until 22 April.
