PyroGenesis Canada Inc., a sustainable solutions company, and HPQ Silica Polvere Inc. have made progress on their Fumed Silica Reactor (FSR) project. The companies aim to construct a 50-tonne per year FSR pilot plant that converts quartz into fumed silica in a single step, without hazardous chemicals and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. If successful, the FSR pilot plant could provide economic and environmental benefits for multiple industries.
