Police locked down part of Wallasey, Merseyside, after bomb disposal teams were called to a street over a suspected WW2 device found in a seaside resort. New Brighton in Wallasey was sealed off by officers and the Army's bomb disposal teams were deployed. The unexploded ordnance was found near Coastal Drive, leading to the suspension of Merseyrail services between New Brighton and Birkenhead North.
