5 people died and 11 injured when a bus carrying wedding party guests in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, came into contact with a high-voltage wire, causing it to catch fire. The accident occurred when the bus was en route to a temple in the Mardah police station area. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences and announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh for each deceased family and Rs 50,000 for seriously injured persons.
