Penn State researchers developed a GPS nanoparticle targeting cancer cells in basal-like breast cancers, offering a more precise treatment.
Penn State researchers have developed a "GPS nanoparticle" that can target cancer cells and deliver a genetic punch to a protein responsible for tumor growth and spread. Tested in human cell lines and mice, the technique may offer a more precise and effective treatment for hard-to-treat basal-like breast cancers. The researchers published their work in ACS Nano and filed a patent application for the technology.
