Nigerian Senate forms ad-hoc committee to investigate CBN's N30 trillion "Ways and Means" and Anchor Borrowers Programme during Buhari's administration.

The Nigerian Senate has formed an ad-hoc committee to investigate N30 trillion of the Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) "Ways and Means" and Anchor Borrowers Programme during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari. The move follows a decision by the Senate to probe details of programmes contributing to the country's current debt profile. The ad-hoc committee, chaired by Senator Isa Jubril, will scrutinise funds allocated to state governments, manufacturers, aviation, banks, and excess funding in the power sector.
