The New York Giants have reportedly acquired star edge rusher Brian Burns from the Carolina Panthers in a trade, according to ESPN sources. Burns, a two-time Pro Bowler, has at least 7.5 sacks in each of his first five NFL seasons, with a career-high 12.5 sacks in 2022. The Giants are also reportedly working on a five-year extension worth $150 million for Burns, with $87.5 million guaranteed. The trade strengthens the Giants' defensive line, adding Burns to a group that already includes Kayvon Thibodeaux and Dexter Lawrence.
