Michael Edwards, former Liverpool sporting director, is returning to lead the club into the post-Klopp era, according to multiple UK reports. Edwards, who spent 10 successful years at Liverpool from 2012, oversaw the club's transfer market, including purchases of key players like Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. He left Liverpool in 2022 but is now set to return in a high-powered role in which he will head football operations for club owner Fenway Sports Group.
